Rockfest

I want to go back to the Rockfest! It was amazing and fun!

Normally I never look back but today, I would like to go back to the day I wrote some stupid stuff to a person I liked very much and was beginning to love very quickly and it scared me. I cant take it back, but every time I express how much of a mistake it was it helps me to let go. I think I am crazy because I have someone very interested in me at work but nooo I have this crazy thing in the back of my head that he will call me or something and so I am waiting like a dummy…hehe love really sucks sometimes. I think I had better just go on the date or the new intrest is going to give up on me…like the great wall of china, beautiful but a great big wall none-the-less…arg.

Im in a garage band and we cant seem to agree on a song to play for rockfest at our school…so far we got "Animal I Have Become" by Three Days Grace and also "Pieces" by Sum 41.
Does anyone have any suggestions for us? We would like to keep the type of music around what we already have.

Last year, I missed out on attending Rockfest, and all day concert even in Kansas City, MO. Last year I missed out on seeing Shinedown. This year? It appears I’m going to miss out on not one, but EIGHT of my favortie bands!!!
My fiance finally has a job, and we can afford tickets this time! The downside? I’m 24 weeks pregnant with our first child. He doesn’t think I can go to the concert without endangering our baby’s life. I don’t see it as that big of a deal. Neither does another girl who plans on going, who just had a baby not that long ago, and thinks that as long as I keep hydrated and towards the back, away from the crowds, and in the shade, I should be fine.
I plan on asking my OB at my next visit, and my fiance says that if she gives me the ok, I should be fine to go. He’s not trying to be an ***. (not intentionally, anyway.) He’s just worried about our daughter, as am I. But I really want to be able to go this time!!! The concert is Saturday, May 15th. I’ll be aprx 30 weeks pregnant by then.
Here’s my question: If I bring a chair, shade, and plenty of water, stay OUT of the crowds, and keep hydrated, could I safely attend this event? Without harming me, or my little girl? Help me out guys, I’m dying to know!!!

It sounds like you’ve thought about most everything, except smoking. Generally, these kinds of shows are filled with smoke (and not always from cigarettes). Personally, I wouldn’t be there.

They are announced to play at Rockfest and I was wonder what they play. Will it be like Slipknot or Stone Sour? The better question would be has anybody of heard of the Junk Beer Kidnap Band?

98.9 the Rock in Kansas City interviewed Corey Taylor from Slipknot about this. They asked him who the Junk Beer Kidnap Band was, and he said it was just a bunch of his buddies… kind of a garage band. He hadn’t even told the guys in the band about Rockfest. For their first gig, there will probably be about 35,000 fans there.

When asked if they would play Slipknot songs, Stone Sour songs, or other, Corey said they would play Stone Sour songs, original songs and probably a couple of covers.
