dunno about their next album, this dude’s voice IS gonna cut it, and we’re talking about jerry cantrell mike inez and sean kinney here (wich are three powerhouse musicians on their own) The down side i see is the absence of layne as a song writer. i’ve heard jerrys solo album and it rocks, but lacks lyrically

Why does everyone …
Why does everyone rip their new singer? They either complain he sounds too much like Stayley or needs to mimic Stayley. He can’t win. Sure he has some trouble with the more vocally demanding songs but that just shows you how great Stayley was at his peak.

AIC is playing the old songs not as a way of showing off Layne’s replacement, but for the fans, and all they do (at least here online) is rip the new guy. I’ll buy their new album and have confidence it’ll sound better than expected.
