So far the most I’ve done for lighting production for a live band event. I wish I had more lighting like, pars and scanners. However I think I can do some neat programs with what I have. I also wish my stage layout was a little different, but I’m working with what I have. Enjoy!

dude what you need beyond lights is another section of truss.. spread out your scanners…..youll get better looks!! btw the singer sucks…sorry just being real

i’m going to invest in, a sound controler called tt24, and its digital and i use it at my school. and lighting desk called congo V5.

Yeah I wish there …
Yeah I wish there was more control with the strips. If I could turn back time (Cher) then I would go with the megapixel. But for what I was doing with them at fest, they worked just fine.

You know, I was …
You know, I was looking at the Chauvet COLORstrip after I saw you using them, and was a little disappointed that (at least according to specs), they supported only 9 channels of DMX. Is that true? I decided to get 4 ADJ MegaPixel LED’s and have 28 channels of DMX to do just about anything I can think of with these lights.

No dimmer packs, everything is programed DMX through Chauvet Showexpress. I programed the pars and other wash lights to fade between colors to give it a little old school look.

I was there bro. Amazing light show and great job on the programming. The sound was killer too. Too bad the camera didn’t pick up on it because that was an awesome cover band.

Yeah I would like to get another hardware controller to tie in with showexpress so I can track performers. It is really hard with no joystick. Thanks for the tip!

Awesome amount of …
Awesome amount of lighting on the band, Zach. One suggestion I’d make is to use more X/Y-controlled spots when you get them, so yo can track the lead singer and also highlight the bassist/guitarist when they do something extraordinary.
Seriously, you have the stage wash nailed with what you have, the spots would put you right in line with what I’ve seen other professional light techs run when I’ve played out.

That’s awesome Zack! I love big productions and yeah that dust is a problem lol. I remember doing a few gigs a long time ago in barns and oh boy, really killed our amps. Great vid.
