ArcAttack Electrifies Texas Rockfest pt. 4
Posted on February 20th, 2010 by admin
Austin’s own ArcAttack plays Texas Rockfest during SXSW. ArcAttack uses a MiKo to power two self-built Tesla coils, that produce “singing lightning bolts” which require no speakers. ArcAttack controls the coils through MIDI, as well as a full drum set controlled by robotic mechanisms. ArcAttack are taking their MiKo on a European tour this summer, 2009. Absolutely amazing! …
Absolutely amazing! I’m currently in the process of attempting to build my own Tesla Coil. I have but one question. What do you guys use for your capacitors? I’m forced to use beer bottles, and I’m sure they’d explode if I tried to use my coil for extended period solid state music playing, lol.

This is about the …
This is about the most awesome thing to ever be awesome. I never knew the air around a Tesla coil was so ionized. Almost no visible light until the arc was about a foot away. I’ll never match your musical prowess, but I hope to one day be allowed to build such a transformer.
